A trial of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) compared to Supportive Listening for adjustment to multiple sclerosis
November 2008Participants will be randomly assigned to have 8 sessions of either cognitive behaviour therapy or supportive listening from a specially trained nurse. They will have two face-to-face sessions, but the other six will be done by telephone to minimise travelling.

Do you have MS and are of Maltese origin?
January 2008The author of the study is interested to find out if UK born children of Maltese immigrants to the UK have a higher incidence of MS, unlike their parents born in Malta. If this is the case, it will increase the evidence for the importance of exposure to the local environment (i.e. in this case migration to the UK) as a risk of developing MS.
