We are delighted to announce the return of the MS Society’s flagship event, Wheel & Walk, in 2009. Wheel & Walk will be heading to Yorkshire for the first time, with a trip to the beautiful Roundhay Park in Leeds.
Wheel & Walk Roundhay will be held on Saturday 11 July 2009, starting at 10am. Registration will be taking place between 9 and 10. Participants have the option of the following three routes to sign up for.
Route 1 (1.5K): Takes you around the beautiful, fully accessible Parkland Walk.
Route 2 (4.2K): Also fully accessible, it initially follows the Parkland Walk route down to Waterloo Lake. Turning off to circle the lake, it then completes the Parkland Walk.
Route 3 (7K): This longer route is not accessible to wheelchairs or scooters. It follows route two on the Parkland Walk and around Waterloo Lake up to the Gorge. Then it takes the Secret Gorge Walk round to the Upper Lake and back around to the finish.
