January 2008 to 8 July 2008, Telling stories along the ridgeway from London to Avebury
Brother’s in Yarns are two storytellers from two traditions united by their friendship and one mission. In summer 2008 they are walking from Avebury to London, along the ancient Ridgeway path to raise money for the MS Society, the Parkinson’s Society and the Chelsea Children’s Hospital Schools. They will travel with the boots on their feet, the stories in their heads, and no money at all in their pockets!!!!! Are they mad? No, they’re Brothers in Yarns!
Along their journey they will stop at specified locations to tell stories to the public and collect money for their charities. They will visit schools, village halls, hold open air performances, and members of the public can even join them on Story Walks!
They believe people will love their stories and give generously to their charities. And feed them. They hope. And provide somewhere to rest their weary feet?!!
