Guiness world record attempt at longest tennis doubles match!

12 September 2008 to 14 September 2008, LA Fitness Health Club, Maidstone, Kent.

From 10am on the morning of Friday 12th September through to the afternoon of Sunday 14th September 2008, four members of LA Fitness Maidstone are attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest ever umpired competetive tennis doubles match. The current holders are from America and the record stands at an incredible 48 hours and 15 minutes.

We will be splitting the proceeds between the MS Society and for the development of Maidstone Tennis Academy.

We are allowed a 5 minute break for each continuously completed hour (e.g. 2 hours and 20 minutes play entitles us to 10 minutes rest), hence timing is crucial. Play will begin on the Friday morning and ending on the Sunday afternoon.

We are extremely confident that we will successfully complete this event as training is well under way. Please come and cheer us on!
