Phil Porter

From Eastleigh, Hampshire gained the Bronze award.

 

Champion profile:

Phil is 53 years old and a company director. He has 3 sons and his interests include playing golf and participating in charity events.

Phil took part in the 2001 London Marathon and Bigfoot 2006 for the MS Society. His wife died from MS related causes in 2000 and he has since become very involved with the work of the MS Society.

Phil says "I have been fortunate in that my wife was known and involved in every aspect of my life. Consequently, friends, relatives and acquaintances were only too pleased to sponsor and donate. I wear my heart on my sleeve as far as MS is concerned and I think this commitment gets through to people."
