Charles runs his own book publishing business in Oxford. He took part in the 2005 London Marathon for the MS Society. He advises people not to be shy about asking for sponsorship.

He says "I annoyed far more people by not asking them for their sponsorship than I did by asking. Everyone I asked was delighted to make a donation."
