Patricia Gilliam

From Banbury, Oxfordshire gained the Bronze award.

 

Champion profile:

Patricia is a 58 year old Interior Designer. She has three daughters and one of them challenged her to get fit. She took up the challenge and decided to do a triathlon before she was 60. Patricia did the Stratford upon Avon Fun Triathlon this year and is looking to do another next year. After a family member was diagnosed with MS, Patricia decided to fundraise for the MS Society and raised over £2,000.

Patricia's advice is to "tell your friends how mad you are planning to be. Write to everyone you have ever known or met in your life and ask for support."
