Mr and Mrs Hitchen

From Ashford, Kent gained the Bronze award.

 

Champion profile:

Mr and Mrs Hitchen fundraise for the MS Society together. They are both in their 70s and live in a close knit village in Kent. Consequently, they receive fantastic support from their friends and acquaintances at all their events.

Mr and Mrs Hitchen have an annual Cake Break day and take part in the Christmas Stars appeal. They supply coffee and cakes and people decide how much to donate to the MS Society.

Mr and Mrs Hitchen have a family member with MS so support the MS Society with their fundraising. In their village the home made cakes are very popular. They have a local shop that does a raffle each year to support their fundraising and that does well too.
