Liz Burns

From Coventry, West Midlands gained the Bronze award.

It takes a lot of courage to literally take the plunge and take part in a skydive to raise money for the MS Society, and that is how Liz Burns reached her Bronze Award. "I spent a lot of time thinking about it and dismissing it as being a ridiculous thing to do", she says.

After Liz made the decision to go for it she worked extremely hard to raise her sponsorship money for the jump, using several different means to do so. "I utilised Just Giving, and made good use of my role as website editor of the West Midlands Region MS Society website, as well as advertising on the chat forums".  

And when Liz finally took to the skies, she knew she'd made the right decision. "The tandem jump itself was awesome...for four minutes there was nothing that this condition could do to stop me doing what I had set out to do".
