Lisa Honey

Champion profile:

Lisa organised an auction and raffle for the MS Society. All items were donated by local and national companies. The event was held at a local pub owned by a friend of Lisa's. As often happens, it started off as a jumble sale and then moved onto a raffle and auction. Another of Lisa's friends was the auctioneer and her family helped with the event. The organisation took eight weeks for about three hours each week, although it was much more in the first two weeks. The biggest challenge was calling and writing to companies for auction items but Lisa never accepted defeat in her search for prizes. The event was a great success and raised over £3,000.
