Kirstie Beaumont

From Stockport, Cheshire gained the Bronze award.

Kirstie first heard about Bigfoot when a flyer came through the post last year. After a few glasses of wine, she and a friend decided to take part in Bigfoot Cheshire.

As Bigfoot is organised by the MS Society, Kirstie spent her time mainly with training and fundraising. Her mum was a big help with fundraising too. Kirstie started off being timid about asking people for sponsorship but after a couple of months she was asking everybody to sponsor her. A client gave her £300 in sponsorship after Kirstie mentioned that she was doing Bigfoot.

Kirstie had a great time just being involved with Bigfoot. The atmosphere was great as everybody is in the same boat and helping each other. Kirstie says that crossing the finish line is a feeling she will never forget.
