John Darby

From Leigh on Sea, Essex gained the Bronze award.

 

Champion profile:

John is 45 and married with two children. He has worked for Royal Mail as a postman for 26 years. John took part in the 2005 London Marathon for the MS Society as he has a friend with MS. His advice to future runners is to "just talk". Speak to everybody you know. John's job helped him to do that as he meets a lot of people. He also had a couple of articles appear in the local newspaper, another great way to attract support.
