Jill Atkinson

Champion profile:

Jill is a 40 year old mother of two. She is married to a farmer and leads a busy life. In 2005, Jill decided to run the Great North Run as she has a friend with MS. In her search for sponsorship money, Jill wrote to everyone that she knew and sent a letter to everybody on her Christmas Card list, from which she got a wonderful response. Finally, she also asked for sponsorship instead of birthday presents, which further increased the amount that she raised.
