Gillian Caldwell

From Stafford, Staffordshire gained the Bronze award.

 

Champion profile:

Gillian is 68 years old and lives in Stafford. She ran her 20th London Marathon (and 55th full marathon) for the MS Society in 2006. Gillian used to be a Primary School teacher in Stafford.

Gillian has a friend whose wife is wheelchair bound with MS. This gave her the will to run the London Marathon again and support the MS Society.

Gillian wrote letters to everyone that she had ever spoken to with a computer produced card. This card had photographs of her running along with a poem. She also wrote letters to thank everyone who had responded.
