Andy Green

From Inverness gained the Bronze award.

 

Champion profile:

Andy works for the Scottish ambulance service. He was born and bred in Aberdeen but now lives in Inverness in the Scottish highlands.

Andy ran in the ING New York Marathon 2004. He says "It was a very WARM day and a very LONG day. But it was a wonderful atmosphere, a wonderful city and a wonderful cause and there were NO BLISTERS!"

His advice is to "call, write, email, text EVERYONE you know, or have ever known! Get your family involved and send out as many sponsorship forms as possible - peoples' generosity can be astounding. Oh, and build a website! Send a link to everyone in your e-mail address book. Include the web address on ALL other correspondence."
