Distance-learning course on exercise rehabilitation
Following a successful pilot, enrollment is currently underway for the next Neuro4 Exercise Rehabilitation course. The course is aimed at fitness instructors and health care professionals and is delivered by distance learning plus two weekends of practical gym sessions at Oxford Brookes University.The course is of six months duration and covers different neurological conditions including MS, and how exercise rehabilitation can be used with people within these populations.
Student assessments are carried out through a case study, multiple choice questions exam and the face-to-face practical gym sessions.
On completion of the course, students will be awarded 20 CATS points at M level. (Currently pending REPS4 accreditation)
The next course will start in November 2011. The practical gym sessions will take place in October and January - dates to be confirmed.
The cost of the course is £605. The MS Society welcomes applications for a bursary to help towards the cost of the module. For further details see Bursaries available

A distance learning course for primary care professionals.Professional Diploma in MS Care
Open to Health and Social Care professionals, the course leads to the Professional Diploma which carries 45 credits at level 6.e-learning MSc
Open to health and social care professionals, these postgraduate, level 7, distance learning courses in multiple sclerosis practice lead to the award of MSc.MS: Psychosocial perspectives

BSc Specialist Practice in Health and Social Care
Birmingham City University and the MS Society are pleased to announce the introduction of a Level 6, distance learning, web-based module in specialist practice. The module is aimed at all health and social care professionals wanting to develop and become competent specialist practitioners.The next course will commence on 07 March 2011 and will run until 27 June, with a break for Easter.

Foundation Degree in Long Term Conditions
This degree, offered by the Faculty of Health and Social Care Sciences, Kingston University and St George’s, University of London, is aimed at associate practitioners and support workers who work with people with long-term conditions. The course will help you to extend and develop your role and contribute to the improvement, understanding and delivery of person-centred care.You may be eligible for a bursary from the MS Society to help with the course fees.
