Evolving MS Services - Hampshire
Basingstoke played host to an Evolving MS Services event recently. The event, which took place on Friday 7 July 2006, was a success, with over 100 health and social care professionals in attendance.

How best to develop future services for people affected by MS in Hampshire
Four breakout sessions took place during the conference, each tackling a different aspect of how to develop better services in the future. At the end of each session everyone was asked to write down one action that they would take to make a positive improvement. - What steps do we need to take to enable people with MS to live independently through self management? (9 kb)
(Group 1) - Most people understand that collaborative working will deliver better services to the patient. However, on the ground this joined up working is patchy.
What can be done to encourage more effective communication and to deliver integrated Care?
(Group 2) - What knowledge, education and support do professionals need to become experts in the management and care of people with MS? (7 kb)
(Group 3) - There is inequality of access to services across Hampshire. How can we provide more specialist services in these areas? (8 kb)
