MS Society strategy 2008 to 2012

The MS Society’s Board of Trustees has unanimously approved the Society’s strategy for the next five years, 2008 to 2012.

Entitled 'Putting the pieces together to beat MS', the strategy is based on extensive consultation with people affected by MS. Throughout 2007 we have invited contributions through MS Matters, through this website, and in a series of panels including some of the UK’s leading MS experts.

The ambitious plans set out in the strategy are designed to establish the Society as the leading MS charity promoting MS research, delivering high quality information, providing support across the UK, raising standards of MS care, and leading the MS agenda by putting the condition back on the map.

The strategy is a product of the four nations of the UK and its principles apply across these four nations. Where there are local considerations that affect implementation, these will be reflected at an operational planning level.

Members of the MS Society will have the opportunity to vote on this strategy at our AGM. The Board of Trustees gave its unanimous support to the strategy at its meeting of 2 August.
