Our Accounts

The MS Society aims to ensure that money raised goes where people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS) need it most.

Annual report and accounts 2006
Over £22m was raised in 2006, with more than 90% of that amount coming from individuals. The year also saw our fundraising cost fall. Fundraising plays a vital role in enabling us to achieve our aims.

The Society has more than £12.5m awarded in Research grants, our website now receives 41,000 unique visitors each month and our helpline continues to take 16,000 calls every year. We have also now funded 96 MS specialist posts since 2000.

The Society has more than 44,000 members, three quarters of whom are members of their local branch. Our website receives 40,000 unique visitors each month and our helpline continues to take 18,000 calls every year.

2004 saw demand for our information services increase with 30,000 unique visitors to our website every month and 18,000 calls to the Helpline.
